i have abandoned my blog for such super loooong time again.
there is not like there is nothing to blog about cause we have been doing stuffs but well, what can i say but blame the Ipad! hehehe.
Since we got the ipad, i realize i spend so little time on the PC. Sometimes not at all throughout the week.
But i have been reading other blogs lately and it really kinda propel me to come back to writing.
yeah right...like no one really cares if i should write. But blog is a great way to keep of tab and to record little events and happenings. So here we go again and this times i hope it will last, hehe.
Last week there was the Feria in town. Well, it literally just means that there were holidays in town and people poured out to the street in celebration. Usually i have no idea what all these holidays are since they are usually assoicated to one catholic festival or another. But this time, suprisingly i kinda bother to ask why were there so many festival days in a row.
Apparently the Motin is celebrated in town during the first week of september to commemerate the day when the Spanish people of the town successfully kick the ass of some French conquerers and drove them all out.
There was a medieval market with people selling trinkets to forged-arms (shields and stuffs) and then there were also truckloads of food stands but the most awesome of all, the only thing i think is worth braving the crowd in the feria for is definitely the sinfully yummy but throughly unhealthy rosquilla.
The air was filled with mouth-watering smell of fried cinnanomon coated bread dough and i love the crispiness of the outside and the softness inside. Looks much like a doughnut but it has a more compact texture and each mouthful is accompanied by the lust for more. And that is exactly how GOOD it is!!!
Then we took a long stroll to the amusement park (good way to digest the yummy rosquilla).
Rides i am too old for. So dont bother.
Had some fun time playing the open air bingo. Its easy, you buy this bingo sheet containing 10 numbers from the vendor. He will then roll out like...i dont know...25 numbers or so, and if you manage to tick off all the 10 numbers, you get a win!!! Gosh, i need only one bingo to bring the smurf toy home but in the end, God forbid that i was ONE number short from BINGO-ing. Seriously, the chinese are right...44 is damn suay!
Before heading home we also stopped for the traditional churros con chocolate. It was a rip-off because we paid a Euro for one chocolate coated churro (well, it was good, cause despite being coated with thick chocolate, it was still pretty crunchy, but a Euro...hmm...).
It was a good way to spend some 4 hours, we went home exhausted from the walk....but it was a fun deviation from the normal saturday nite!
2 fairy whisper(s):
